Authors wishing to submit a paper to the HCI-E 2025 Conference are required to adhere to the following guidelines. These instructions are based on the Springer Computer Science Proceedings rules.
Submission Requirements:
- Papers must be written in English and contain original research that aligns with the conference topics. Review papers are generally not preferred.
- Submitted work must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- All papers will be screened for plagiarism and self-plagiarism using recognized international databases.
- The paper length should be between 12-15 pages for full papers.
Paper Structure:
Submitted papers must include the following sections:
- Abstract (150-250 words). Footnotes must not be included in the abstract.
- Keywords (5-10 words and phrases).
- Introduction.
- Problem Statement.

- Acknowledgements (if necessary): This section should be placed at the end of the paper, before the references, using a third-level heading in 9-point font size.
- References: References should be numbered consecutively either by order of citation or by alphabetical order, with the latter being preferred. In-text citations should be provided in brackets (e.g., [9] or [4-6, 9]). We strongly encourage authors to include DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) in their references.
- All figures and tables used in the paper must be cross-referenced in the text.
Preparation and Formatting:
- Papers must be submitted in DOCM format, adhering to the Springer CCIS guidelines.
- Figures and tables must be editable and not pasted as images. If color figures are used, please ensure they are still legible when printed in black and white.
- Table captions should always be positioned above the table. Figure captions should always appear below the figure.
- Authors' names and their ORCID identifiers should be included in the paper's header. There should be no more than one corresponding author per paper.
- The corresponding author is responsible for checking the final proof and for signing the license-to-publish agreement on behalf of all co-authors.

We are pleased to confirm that the proceedings of HCI-E 2025 will be officially published by
Springer Nature as part of the highly regarded
Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) series.
This ensures international visibility and scholarly recognition. All accepted and peer-reviewed papers will be indexed in leading databases including
Scopus, EI Compendex, DBLP, INSPEC, and SCImago.
Publication and Presentation Policy:
The publication of papers submitted to the conference follows a dual-track approach:
- Springer CCIS Publication: Papers that receive high ratings from independent reviewers and fully comply with Springer's standards will be published by Springer Nature.
- JCSDT Journal Special Issue: High-quality papers that are not a perfect fit for the Springer publication standards, as well as other valuable works aligned with the conference's scope, will be considered for a special issue dedicated to HCI-E 2025 in The UNEC Journal of Computer Science and Digital Technologies (JCSDT). This journal is an open-access, peer-reviewed publication of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), indexed in Google Scholar, with all articles assigned a DOI. The selection of papers for this special issue will be made by the Program Committee based on reviews from three independent reviewers via the Microsoft CMT system.
All accepted papers must be presented by at least one of the authors in person or virtually, as either an oral or poster presentation. The format will be determined based on the recommendations of three independent reviewers.
In-person participation is mandatory for Azerbaijani citizens. Foreign participants are permitted to present online. Only papers that are presented at the conference and whose results are approved by session participants will be published.
Important Notes:
- Once a paper has been published, changes to its content, title, or authorship list are not possible.
- In the event of an authorship dispute, Springer Nature will not be in a position to investigate or adjudicate; authors will be asked to resolve the dispute themselves.
- The corresponding author is typically given 72 hours to check the final PDF proof. If no response is received within this timeframe, the paper is presumed to be free of errors.
- For Springer Nature's policy on the use of artificial intelligence, please refer to their official guidelines.
